Q: What happens to the per birdie penny pledges?
A: All penny pledges will be transitioned to a flat $20 donation per penny pledged
Example: .01/birdie = $20, .02/birdie = $40, etc.
Q: Can my donors donate online?
A: Yes donors can use your bird number to designate your charity and make a donation online here. The donation link can be shared with your donors in email communications. The donation form requires a credit card payment. Donors will receive an immediate receipt via email confirming their donation.
Q: What happens to the pledges/donations that have already been made?
A: All donations and pledges will be processed and counted towards your 2020 total. We would appreciate charities continue to encouraging donors to use the online donation form to cut down on the invoicing process.
Q: Will the Birdies for Charity process change at all with the cancellation of the tournament?
A: The BFC program will adhere to it's normal timeline:
- Pledges must be mailed to the BFC office (address below) prior to the end of June.
- 15623 Coaltown Road, East Moline, IL 61244
- Invoices will be sent in July for anyone who has an unpaid pledge.
- Charity checks and bonuses will be distributed at the end of October 2020. Watch your email for details this fall.
Q: Will there still be a bonus promise in 2020?
A: YES! The John Deere Classic is committed to providing the promised 5% bonus match for all participating charities.
Q: How will you select prize winners without the birdie number, including the 2-year Lexus NX lease?
A: All donors will be eligible to win the prize this year. A winner will be selected in a random drawing, which will be announced at the end of October.
