Steve Stricker Truly Arrives: They Made Him a Bobblehead!

One way to know you've truly arrived is that someone has created a bobblehead in your honor.

That's the case with Steve Stricker, three-time defending champion at the John Deere Classic.  Stricker fans will have two opportunities over the next few days to get his bobblehead.

This Saturday night, July 7, the Quad Cities River Bandits will host Steve Stricker Bobblehead Night at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport.  The first 2,000 ticketed fans will receive a bobblehead figure of the former Illini and two-time Ryder Cup team member.

The bobblehead features Stricker in his logoed golf cap and logoed golf shirt.  Fans are limited to one bobblehead figure each.  Stricker's bobblehead is sponsored by the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center and CBS4.

The River Bandits will be taking on the Clinton Lumberjacks on Saturday with a 7 p.m. start.

The second opportunity to get a Stricker Bobblehead will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday when the first 500 youngsters who come to the John Deere Classic's new Family Zone tent will receive one.  The giveaway is part of Chick-fil-A Youth Day.  Youngsters also will receive a free hat and a free lunch courtesy of Chick-fil-A.  The Family Zone is located behind the 7th tee at TPC Deere Run, home of the John Deere Classic.

Stricker will attempt to become only the fifth player in championship golf history to win the same tournament four consecutive times when he tees off next Thursday (July 12) at the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis.

Monday, July 9, will be John Deere Classic & Golf Night at Modern Woodmen in the series finale with the Lumberjacks.
